We signed up for a 3 day/2 night tour of Cappadocia with TSC Travel based on other TripAdvisor reviews. Booking the trip was easy and straightforward and pleasant. The staff (Okan) were very responsive and made everything smooth. The trip to Cappadocia from Istanbul was handled very well and went like clockwork.
The experience in Cappadocia was amazing. The guide on the first day, Alp, was incredible and provided a huge amount of information on life in the area area since the Hittite empire into the foundation of Christianity through the present day. He had a very completely knowledge of the history and geology of the region. The Fairy Chimneys, cave dwellings and the Open Air Museum were very fascinating. On the next day, the trek through the Rose Valley, with Safaida (spelling?) was great, next time around I'll have to hike more, it was beautiful. Also her knowledge of the history and thorough, particularly with respect to the archaeology of the underground cities.
Cappadoccia is a wonderful area, and I would recommend anyone visit. I would also recommend TSC Travel. If we're back in the area, I'll book tours with them.
My one and only gripe was with the pickup on the trip back to Istanbul. If it were up to me I would have arranged the pick up an hour earlier (even though the hotel manager waved it off and said we'd be fine). We ended up in Kayseri airport with about a hour before the flight was to take off. As it turned out, the flight was delayed and the huge line moved quickly enough to make the flight. I tend to like to leave plenty of time before flights.
