TESTIMONIALS

The perfect tour of Western Turkey !!! 10/10

I wanted to do a tour of Turkey starting in Istanbul, and ending up in Kusadasi, so I could cross over into Samos, Greece from there.
I could not have picked a better tour, even if I had organised it myself.
Guides Koray and Filiz, and the tour driver were exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable and great hosts.
Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon and Ephesus were all amazing.
Many thanks to Okan of TSC Tours for his help and communication in setting it up for us.

Wonderful trip to Turkey and Greece
Overall, my adult daughter and I were very pleased with the tour and the company. Okan is very patient and answered all my questions regarding traveling alone or with a family member. I was unsure about the financial aspects of the final payment being in cash but I trusted Okan and it was fine. I really liked all the places that they picked to visit in Turkey. I was happy with the hotels in Istanbul (although it changed when we arrived) and in Kudasasi. All the transports were timely and so were the tour guides. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a welcome gift bag. We liked that the hotel was a close walk to the historical area of Istanbul and an easy walk to the town center of Kusadaki. We were happy with the hotels and all the meals that were included in the tour. The tour guides were knowledgeable of the history, the sites and the cultures. They all spoke excellent English and are personable. I am probably not spelling the names correctly but each day in Turkey we had a different guide, Samet, Iilicu, Boorjah, Felicity. They were all wonderful. I liked that the tour company is flexible. One day there was a half day tour and we were unable to go in the morning so they arranged for us to go in the afternoon. One of the sites was closed on a Monday so they provided us tickets to attend the next day. We were promptly met in Athens and liked the hotel there on our first and last night in Athens. The second day we needed to walk with our suitcases (the hotel stored luggage that we did not need) to another site to meet up with our 4 day Greek tour with GO tours. We had a wonderful bus driver, "George" and tour guide Melista (spelling?). Her English is excellent, her historical knowledge and Greek mythology knowledge is impressive. George is an amazing bus driver. He drove 900 miles and fixed the air conditioning of the bus on the way back to Athens. We saw amazing sites during those 4 days. My only negative is some of the hotels that we stayed at, especially in Delphi. My previous experience has been everyone on the tour stays at the same hotel but I guess I booked tourist class vs first class and it was worse than Motel 6 in the US. Fortunately, it was for only 1 night at each stop and our fellow travelers were lovely. Back in Athens we did the 1/2 day city trip which was amazing since we also got to see the Changing of the Guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier. The tour company is also flexible to arrange a ride to the ferry vs airport. I would rec

My Turkey trip

Visit to Turkey in general
The day tours were very well organized. The guide was very knowledgeble and with a good sense of humor. Very friendly also.
Excellent ! Day tour of Istanbul !

We'd booked this tour from Australia some time back and you never know what to expect.

Istanbul is a magic city and better than many we've seen.

We (3) were picked up promptly by Summit (apologies for spelling) from our hotel (Conrad Hilton in Besiktas) and taken to a central point where two other young american girls joined us. It was meant to be a small tour so us 3 and 2 made 5 - a good number. Our male guide was excellent. He knew it all but didn't bombard us with facts as some do. He just gave us enough then allowed questions.

We went to all of the highlights - no queues, no fees, no fuss. On another similar tour some time back we'd paid quite a bit then been asked to pay the entrance fees.

He got us in quick - around the queues - and always pointed out bathrooms and drinks if we needed them.

He took us to a marvelous restaurant for lunch. Top food. Top beer. As it was Ramadan it was quite empty.

The highlight of the tour was going to the Roman Cisterns - something we really wanted to do. Awesome. We spent some time there. We also saw all the Museums, palaces, markets, churches etc.

BUT - and its a big BUT - we walked to them all. It was so easy. Anne is not a great walker but she loved it. Everything is so close. And this was part of the tour - down back streets - into little alleys - around markets. so exciting and fun. Tim - our son loved it.

I'd highly recommend them.

We were dropped back to the Conrad without any mention of tips - as some do - with their veiled messages and boxes. But we did tip as it had been a wonderful day.

Thanks to all involved. Well worth the money and time. Highly recommended. Happy to answer questions.

Special thanks to Okan and Summit (apologies for spelling).
